Conditions were quite poor with several stations struggling to hear each other, we might have to consider an earlier start soon but we'll not change just yet!
Discussions this week included DX worked in the Commonwealth Contest this weekend, conditions had been particularly good between the UK and Australia on 40m. Doug seems to have suffered from a PA measurement, or metering, problem with his K3 and was using his K2 this weekend. Firmware releases were mentioned, I have been testing f/w 3.02 which seems to be working well and holding SSB peaks to a reasonable level driving a linear with 25 Watts and will hopefully soon appear as a public release. Peter is putting on an Elecraft stand at the Blackpool Rally and has leaflets and a banner en-route from Elecraft. Again microphones were discussed... A never ending topic.
