You probably don't need to install the K3 Utility. Just copy the .exe file into a folder on your CD and execute it from there, or copy it from your CD into a temporary folder on the host's computer and execute it from there.
Try this all at home first! The K3 Utility will write into the registry - it saves its settings in HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Elecraft\K3 Utility. You may want to "clean up" your host's computer by removing that registry value after you're all done. That way, it wouldn't matter what was on the PC - as long as it could boot from a CD or USB, you'd be set. 73, Mike KW1ND ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
