Phil:

I suspect you are hearing trash from either a USB interface or Ethernet 
interface, probably a USB device. There's a handshake once a second that 
sounds a lot like the WWV "beep." These appear at many places in the HF 
spectrum.

I would start by powering down all the computer gear with all interface 
cables removed. Then turn the computer back on and start attaching 
devices one at a time. until the culprit is found.

Once found, you can start on a fix.
