The link above leads to an article which describes this solar minimum as being 
quite deep; the deepest in a century.  Luckily we have great rigs from Elecraft 
so we can keep working while lesser rigs are sitting idle waiting for better 
conditions.  Even a feeble burst of solar ions keeps the Kennelly-Heaviside 
layer in good enough condition to propagate some RF.  One day we may not be at 
solar minimum but this could last one more year if we want to go for a record 
;)  However, the last five solar maximums have been rather high.  This minimum 
may presage another strong cycle.
