Some of those sprays are awful, consisting mostly of various oils that get all over the place.
Suggest using a small amount of DeOxit. The idea is to get it in on the resistive surface, which usually means putting a few drops on the terminals where the exit the pot assembly. Option is a replacement pot - generally the best long-term fix. Back in the "old" days, (1950s) we shot the pots with spray and sent the TV or radio back to its customer with a minimal billing - usually 1/10th the cost we'd have needed to charge to replace it. But here your time is "free" - hopefully part of the fun of the hobby - so a short-cut quick fix isn't needed. I suggest the chemical simply because you probably need to order a replacement pot.
