Oliver: Of course that procedure will work but I've done updates on my K3 for over a year without a hitch. My recomendation is to start the update and don't mess with the computer until it's totally done. SIT ON YOUR HANDS.... One big problem is the K3 makes you think it's done because you hear band noise and then it starts updating again. Maybe Elecraft can figure out a way for the display to say PLEASE WAIT.
