I'm running FW 3.03 right now [just haven't gotten around to upgrading]. Possibly I'm missing something, but my RX Eq settings persist across mode changes. Is there a way to have separate settings for CW and SSB? I'm fairly deaf, the result of very loud noises in my 20's, and the RX Eq actually makes SSB semi-usable for me. I set the lower ranges to negative values and the higher bands to positive values, sort of mimicking what my hearing aids do. The 32 dB [-16 to +16] isn't enough ... I need about 75dB at 2 KHz ... but it's better than nothing.
For CW, I set all but the range that covers my sidetone to -16 and that one range to +16. Unfortunately, I have to reset it each time when I change modes. 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2009 Cal QSO Party 3-4 Oct 2009 - www.cqp.org ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
