523.25 Hz is C5 - one octave above "Middle C". Middle C is C4 ... 261.63 Hz. For those with well tuned ears, A3 (220 Hz) and A4 (440 Hz) are available as exact tones ... E4, F4, F#4, E5, F#5 can be generated within 1 Hz and C4, D#4, G4, F5, within 2 Hz (less than 1% error worst case). 73, ...
