Jim, On the K3, not with PTT alone. But in conjunction with a key closure it can work - in CW (with VOX on) just close the KEY input, and for SSB if you have CW in SSB, again close the KEY input and you will get a carrier (at full power - which may or may not be what you want). Using TUNE the TUNE power can be set in the menu.
