Thanks to those of you who responded with various suggestions. I'm going to go ahead and order the KNB2 and see if that does the job. I suspect the noise might be coming from a nearby medical facility (hospice) and being transmitted down the power lines. Even if the NB doesn't solve this "pulse' problem it may still be needed some time or other.
