Lyle, What I was looking for was being able to control the pitch when I hit the XFIL button, like in AFSK A and CW; in DATA A this centres on ~1500Hz. Presume this is a function of sidetone frequency.
However using HI/LO CUT works just fine and I can store this in one of the per mode filter pre-sets. Haven't checked though whether this pre-set will get overwritten by the AFSK A settings - normally use rtty/AFSK A in data but getting sorted for an RSGB data contest tomorrow evening in which the rules now mean you have to use both PSK and RTTY if you want to maximise your score.....
