If it ain't broke - don't fix it. The fans on the K3 are fine. If your K3 is getting hot, check the original fans to be sure they weren't blocked by a screw or something. There is a fan-check procedure outlined in the manual somewhere (menu item?). You can also read the actual temp on the finals through the menu. Buck k4ia K3 # 101
