I found myself working PSK on the main receiver on 20 and listening to a QSO on 40 on the subreceiver where there was a carrier off and on for quite some period of time. I tried to turn on auto notch on the subreceiver and could not. Posted here - the answer I received was that it is not a "per receiver" setting basically. In this situation I do not want the auto-notch on for PSK mode but I do want it on in the subreceiver.
My request is for notch (and NR?) to be allowed individually per receiver (maybe "per VFO"?). I don't know what might be possible or practical. Just a thought.
