Further clarification: Happens on both RIT and XIT. Not related to a specific frequency or band. Happens going in both directions. Sorry I omitted these details. All of this points to a hardware problem (shaft encoder), but if anyone else has had this issue and fixed it by some other means, please let me know. Thanks.
