I have my K3 hooked up to the computer via a couple serial ports. I also ride bicycles and have a Garmin Edge 705 bike GPS unit hooked to a USB port for route file transfer. This morning when starting to transfer a route file to the Garmin GPS unit, the Garmin software attempted to poll various ports looking for the GPS unit. This process caused the K3 to go into transmit mode. I'm not sure if there is a cleaner way to prevent that other than to have the K3 turned off while I am working with the GPS unit. --Ed, N3CW--
