Thought of that, Bill but I don't think so ....
I've had/used the radio a couple of years (S/N 56) and
the peeling has just started. My nails are pretty short,
and rounded, without sharp edges that would tend to
"dig' into the surface. It looks like there's a "shiny"
veneer surface that's peeling off and leaving a dull plastic
surface inside the dimple.
