Duane, It sounds like you have some RF-in-the-shack that is getting into the sensitive detectors of your touch paddle.
You asked for the best precision for the money, and the one I know that meets that criteria is the Black Widow Paddle kit has a good feel and nice adjustment range - the price is right ($67), but you need to do some assembly and as much polishing work on the brass pieces as your "shine requirements" dictate. Take a look at http://www.w5jh.net/Black_Widow.htm 73, Don W3FPR dw wrote: > Hi All, > My home brewed touch paddle doesn't get along with the k2 at higher > output powers. > I'm going to try some filter caps, but I think it will still probably > not work. > Any suggestions on a really light touch paddle? > The K8RA paddle looks like a precision design with a good heavy base > weight. > I've been looking at his "big boss" unit. > For what one gets, they look like maybe the best precision for the > money? > > Thanks > Duane > N1BBR > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG - www.avg.com > Version: 8.5.339 / Virus Database: 270.12.53/2156 - Release Date: 06/05/09 > 06:24:00 > > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
