The "spurious signal removal" procedure was introduced in MCU revision 3.03 and is in all later versions.

Some time ago I heard there is a firmware fix for eliminating them through some procedure to identify them and put in some sort of IF shift procedure - they are still there but it makes them go away as far as the operator is concerned.
