What would be slick is to see the I/O board with a PCM2902 on it as well. Most operating systems have drivers for this IC and it just shows up as a sound card. So if a 2902 and a FTDIChip were plopped down and tied to a hub you could have the radio when plugged in show up on most computers (windows, linux and mac at least) as an RS232 port and a sound card. Then just point your digital software at the newly installed sound card and all of the line level audio connections are made for you.
