Thanks, everyone, for the really great and timely suggestions! I really
appreciate them.
Lyle's test results along with Dick's comments and Ian's suggestion have me
feeling much better about all this. I found and reinstalled the old
mid-2008 K3 utility, and this old version DID allow me to do a successful
configuration save. Don't know why I didn't think of trying that earlier.
Now I'm 90% confident that the new firmware install should go smoothly with
the latest released version of the utility. I will probably do the upload
tomorrow - will let you know the results.
