Interesting. I'm at the same stage and had the same results. I had to leave it (last Saturday) and won't be able to get back to it until this Saturday, but I had a good reading on pin P1-16, bad elsewhere. I don't recall the resistor readings, though I did have some of them as you suggested (>say, 100K, reading much, much higher). I, too, tried to be statically careful, using a wrist strap and static pad during construction.
