I understand that the XV-series of transverters work just dandy with the K3. There shouldn't be any reason to design new external transverters specifically for the K3. Also, it seems if you had the internal K144XV, you could use an external low-NF preamp akin to the PR6. Pure speculation: perhaps there's a PR2 in the works?
