Got a suggestion off reflector as to the cause of the ERR BP2. Not surprisingly, It was operator error -- I had installed the KBPF3 on the KRX3 sub receiver board but had enabled it on the main receiver with the Config menu.
The recommendation that I put the KBPF3 on the main receiver seemed prudent so I moved it while I had the K3 opened up. Thought I'd follow up here in case someone else runs into the same thing.
