What exactly does "not connected to anything" mean? I assume it to mean
no cable is attached to any connector anywhere on the radio.
My K3s, when powered off and *all* cables disconnected, are completely
silent.
The only sounds to ever come from them, to my knowledge, are from the
headphones or speaker(s), and that was only with the radio connected to
a power supply, the power supply turned on, and the radio turned on.
There is an "alarm" function that is designed to alert you when the
programmed time is reached, including turning on the radio if it is off,
but that also requires power to be connected.
There are no audio transducers inside the radio other than the speaker.
The speaker amplifier requires external power to be connected.
