Jerry,

The battery connections unplug from the RF Board with a keyed 2 
conductor plug.  It plugs in near the end of the antenna tuner (the end 
near the DC coaxial power plug).  Should it become unplugged while 
changing batteries, just put it back in - I believe most KX1 owners 
actually remove the plug when changing batteries just because it is 
easier that way.  The two "lugs" on the connector housing should point 
toward the projecting tab on the mating connector on the KX1 board.  Try 
it, you should be able to feel it with your fingers.
