I own K3/100 SN 3161, and an SGC SG-500 Smartpowercube Linear Power Amplifier.
When the radio was a K3/10 it worked well with the Amplifier, giving a noticeable increase in power. With the K3/100 (no internal antenna tuner) the Amplifier drops of line displaying a VSWR problem at any power level. SGC advises this response normal when a 200 volt switching transient exists. An Icom IC-7000 works well with the Amplifier/manual tuner/G5RV antenna. Any help would be appreciated.
