I loaded the beta firmware 3.23 mainly to get the 10 Hz tuning on the pass band. It is very smooth and really moves the K3 up another notch on the way to perfection. OK, I guess I'm letting the mojo get to me. ;-)
I read a post a couple of days before I loaded 3.23 saying that the pass band tuning made "popping" noises at each 10 Hz. I don't hear anything like that in both my K3s.just nice smooth band passing as it should be. (My K3s do not have the sub receiver and I've only played with it on CW, if that makes any difference). I also tried Wayne's suggestion of using the NR with the 10 Hz pass band and 250 Hz filter to approximate competitive rig's "peaking" feature, but I have not found that to my liking. I'll do some more experimenting this weekend in the NAQP contest to see if I can find an advantage to it.
