Here's piece of information for anyone who runs into this problem (new one
to me).
In trying to do a FW update tonight using the K3 Utility, I repeatedly got a
"Computer disconnected from network. Error 12163" notice. A couple of
minutes on Google revealed that, for reasons that are beyond me, my Internet
Explorer had decided to set itself to Work Offline. Using Tools/Work Online
on the Command Bar fixed it.
