For the past few days the audio has been "switching off" then comes back on. Actually not just the audio but the also at the same time the S meter bars also drop off. I can sometimes switch the power off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on and everything is normal for a while... other times it takes a few minutes before it comes back.
At first this would only happen right after transmitting- either with using VOX and the Heil Proset on the rear panel or the mic on the front panel... didn't matter - but tonight it has done it several times while just listening. This radio had to go back to Elecraft a few months ago due to failure of the audio output chip and PC board heatsink... so I am getting concerned something is about to die completely again. Ideas I should try??
