Really? I carry a K3 back and forth between two stations, one of which is quite complex, including two rigs, two amps, a digital rotor, a SteppIR and an MK2R+. It takes about a minute to insert or remove 2 PL-259s, an APP, a ground wire, 2 D-subs, four 1/8" phone plugs, one BNC, two RCAs and two 1/4" phone plugs. I tie these into two bundles with velcro tie-wraps. Piece o' cake!
Although I'd happily buy a docking station if it could make a significant difference, it would certainly require a different rear or bottom panel and its design would probably be an RF nightmare. /Rick N6XI On 8/1/09, Bob DeHaney <[email protected]> wrote: > > I've got so > much plugged into my K3 (computer, microham band decoder, microham 2 > Keyer+, > etc. that it takes me about an hour to get everything hooked up again. > I'd > love to be able to pop the rig out, do some portable operation, or a mod, > and just pop it back in again like my Lenovo Notebook. > > Vy 73, Bob DJ0MBC/WU5T ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
