Oh good grief... what is it about a dissenting opinion that gets people riled up in this group?
So I didn't like the knobs. I'm not the only one. The K3 is a damn good radio, and I've said that more than once. However, it isn't perfect. Nothing is. I felt like I had improved my K3 with the installation of those aftermarket knobs. To me, I'm a little happier using my radio now than before. And you know what? It still hears stuff... just with stronger knobs. I didn't realize that experimentation, improvisation, and the general spirit of amateur radio excluded knobs.
