With Beta FW 3.25, the NR function reduces the audio level in my cans quite a bit. I haven't tried it on CW, but I will today during ECN. I was on SSB yesterday in the NAQP which is where I noticed it. If I turned it on for a weak signal, the signal sort of disappeared, even if I ran the AF Gain up. Am I doing something wrong?
Now, the NB rocks! Our power lines always get dust coated this time of year, and on 20, the QRN [typical buzz from a 60 Hz leakage path] is well over S9 with the preamp off. There are NB settings that reduce it to S1, and I can't hear it any more.
