I'm not sure about others, but I have found that the new NR on V3.25 is just not aggressive enough for me. All of the noise gateing effect has been removed. However, Like others have said, on SSB it is very nice indeed. For CW I find that turning from 1-1 to 4-4 makes very little difference. I have also found that if I set to 4-4 (when coming from 1-1) I hear no difference at all, until I turn OFF the NR, and then toggle it back ON again.
With 30 meters at night time I'm getting killed with an S5 to S7 noise floor. The old NR used to kill the entire noise floor, and as long as I was careful to select a setting that would not kill the weak DX CW tones I would have perfect luck. As matter of fact, with setting 2-3 it used to actually Enhance the tones of the weak DX. Now, with the New V3.25 NR there's still so much noise I'm having a hard time hearing them, Instead of the NR killing the CW, it's just all the left over band noise doing it. I wouldn't mind seeing the NR the way it is curently for SSB to get rid of the Echo effect, but I really can't use it much for CW as it is...
