I have just installed the ATU in my K3 and can't seem to find an explanation or tutorial on how it should be operated. I am used to the ICOM tuners and they automatically retuned and recalled settings as you changed frequencies and bands. The K3 ATU seems to recall previous settings, but only if I first manually force it to tune on a particular frequency. I must be missing something, but the manual or the K3 web site has almost no information on how the tuner is supposed to function. I have also searched the archives of this reflector, but the subject doesn't seem to be addressed anywhere. Maybe my new tuner is broke? Just how automatic is this tuner? Is there some process I have to go through to help the tuner 'learn'. I have it set up in the CONFIG menu, but it just doesn't work quite like I expected it to.
