The very small font size shown in the photos was used because it was readily available at the time the hamfest demo firmware was being written. While using the P3, however, it became clear to me that I was having to work too hard to read the text. And I'm only 51 :)
Our next pass will use a larger font. We'll post photos so you can see what it'll look like. Through careful management of text position, I believe a larger size will work well for the P3's normal information displays. But we'll always have multiple fonts available, including the small one, so that more information can be displayed when required. Font size will be adjustable via a menu entry in some cases; we won't use the smaller size unless the operator requests it. We appreciate all of the input on P3 features.
