i'm an old broadcast-radio/voice-over type and have been relying on Sony MDR-V6 phones for over 10 years (have 5 pair in my studio)... you can get a pair for about $75 and when the ear pads wear out, you can easily replace them. plus they have hinges next to the headband, so they fold up fairly small.
i love the sound quality and as most every talk host and DJ who wears them will tell you, they remain comfortable after hours of wear. just looked, and you can purchase a pair new from amazon for about $68, including shipping, and sony sells refurbs for about $40 (i've purchase a refurb set and they were indistinguishable from new)... i've been using a pair with my K3 for about 2 weeks now and have been able to pull stuff out of the noise that i couldn't clearly hear through the built-in speaker. 73 robin (K9RDG) ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
