I use the ARI-500 with my ALS-600. Should be the same hookup. The K3 band data output is identical to the Yaesu band data output. The ARI-500 interprets it just fine. If you have an early K3 you do need the TTL pull-up mod. My ARI-500 manual has the wiring information.
