But it is already much better than 1ppm even without 'method3'
the TCXO is in a thermally stable part of the radio so once the radio
has warmed up it's very stable indeed. I regularly use my k3 for looking
at Doppler shift on beacon transmissions on 6m with no issues regarding
stability. 
Being able to lock my K3 to an external 10MHz reference might be nice
someday though.
