My buddy K1VW, who is not on this reflector, asked me to look into a problem with his K3, and I am turning to the reflector for assistance. John received a report from another station (not a local) of a spurious emission while transmitting CW on 160 meters. Evidently the spur was loud enough to attract some attention. I searched the reflector archives for the past six months and did find anything on this topic. The other station mentioned that this is a known problem with the K3, and that the fix involves clipping a diode. This is all second-hand information to me, and that is all I know about the situation. Any suggestions?
