Hello, 1) Data sub mode is reported (see DT command GET/SET). It is always possible to know the mode in use with the K3 exactly. The MD command is compatible with Kenwood protocol. Adding sub mode to IF string is not a good solution since it breaks the compatibility. DT must be used.
2) About K31... It is a non-issue. A software can easily send K3 at startup but has also to repeat this command in case of the K3 is powered Off. It is different with an external controller (it does not work like a software) ; In the case of the Microham, it must be programmed for adding K31 in front of any command. The lenght of the command is increased by only 4 Bytes. You should suggest this tip to the developper. 73, Laurent F6DEX -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K3-command-mode-default-k30-k31-tp3752716p3756295.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
