Hi Bill, I've used mine twice as a mobile in the WVQP (N8Q/m)and TnQP (N4Q/m). It worked well, but so did my K2. In all cases, I was running QRP.
In both cases, the rig was only temporarily mounted. Initially I had some RFI/Feedback problems which were antenna related. These have been cleared up and both of the above contests went smooth. I'll probably move to 100W in the future, just to see how it goes. Both internal ATUs extended the Hustler coverage with ease for both CW and SSB. The antennas are tuned in the CW portion of the band. I worked a number of DX stations QRP from the vehicle even on 40M. Found a mount that I think may help, it was from an old piece of office equipment. The biggest challenge I have is with the computer and a stick shift hihi. 73, Julius n2wn William Hein-2 wrote: > > Anyone using a K3 in their car?
