I agree 100% with Van. Chasing K4M around on different modes it would have been nice to have A and B in the same mode without the B=A tap. I forgot every time and had to fumble around and then setup the correct split AGAIN. This is not what you want to be fooling with when you're racing to get a jump ball in a pileup. Having A and B in different modes must be very rare and certainly not the norm. I would like to see the default for B mode to always equal A and have an option to make them separate for rare situations where cross mode is needed. Unless of course there is a better argument for keeping it the way it is?

It seems to me that having a menu item that would allow us to choose to have VFO B always be in the same mode as VFO A would be a helpful thing. It would eliminate the step of always having to make B equal A with a double tap. The Other choice for the menu selection would be to have it exactly as it is now. I dont see any downside to this solution. If you agree please let Wayne and company know. The way it is now makes it more trouble to go split than with any other transceiver.
