For example, you cannot have the TX antenna within the sides of the RX loop. Arranging antennas for Diversity or split operation should be done with that in mind and tested in advance of applying high power to the TX antenna. I would suggest you begin testing at 5 watts and increase the power incrementally a few watts at a time until you notice clicking or popping in the TX antenna when using QSK on CW. You should do that with SSB also [No QSK there ;o)]. It does take more real estate to have separate TX and RX antennas, but I don't know what the separation should be. You'll have to experiment with it. 73, Tom, N5GE [email protected] K3 #806, K3 #1055, PR6, XV144, XV432, KRC2, W1 and other small kits. 2 W2's on order 1 K144XV on order http://www.n5ge.com http://www.swotrc.net ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
