I'm really happy with my simple CWSPLT and UNSPLT macros that I've assigned to PF1 and PF2. Haven't had so much fun programming since the days when I fully mastered programming my HP-67 calculator. The possibility of macros to setup the various AGC parameters (i.e., DCY, HLD, PLS, SLP, and THR) really appeals to me. Is this doable? If so, some examples would really help. I find that I learn programming best by "dissection," that is taking apart what others have done and modifying that. Your SPLIT+2 and SPLIT+5 macros are good examples.
