John, That is actually up to the user to determine. It does require an interim intelligent device. Check out LP-Bridge or several other serial port sharing applications that run on your PC. The K3 is a terminal device, it does not provide control for all RS-232 based communications. Refer to the K3 Programmer's Reference to see the data that is sent to/from the K3.
