Good Evening,
I am going to take a chance but the intention is to keep the nets at the
same local time while changing the Zulu time in accordance with the change from
Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. So I think that means I should add an
hour to fix things. What had been 2300z becomes 0000z and what was 0100z will
be 0200z. If I am wrong (which seems to occur each time I attempt this) I will
know almost instantaneously due to the Elecraft Fact Checking Reflector. Mea
culpa :( However, I have grown inured to my foibles.
Weather in Oregon is soggy and grey. Kind of normal for the rainy season
though. We really only have two seasons: muddy and dusty. All you need to do
is look at my truck to know which one we're experiencing. The color in the
leaves is fading and a lot of them are covering the ground. But this is
necessary to feed the next generation of trees and support the wee beasties
that create soil. Smells good too ;) The veeries come along and scatter the
duff in search for bugs to eat and make odd calls as I walk through their
territory.
Propagation was good up until yesterday when the noise level jumped and
fading was high. Our recent sunspot grouping has moved to the limb of the sun
soon to disappear. Upon reading Space Weather I find I may have been hearing
the effects of the change in the tilt of our magnetic field which allowed the
solar wind to strongly effect our magnetosphere. Maybe the propagation will be
better due to the new ions zipping about.

Please join us tomorrow evening.
