Phil, I think you have the right pronunciation. I've always heard it pronounced with three syllables, as if it were formed from the concatenation of "ele" from "elegant" and "craft" from "craftsmanship".
I've talked with the founders, and whenever I've heard them say "Elecraft", it's always with three syllables. OK, maybe I am saying it wrong. Ran into a couple of guys on the air and they are pronouncing the name of Elecraft different from me. What do the experts say? I am saying "El-eh-craft". The other guys were saying "El-craft"? I have three syllables in the name and they have two. I sort of thought of the name like "electronics + craft" so took two syllables from the "electronics" part. Sure it is silly question. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
