Which data sub-mode were you using, DATA_A?  Or were you using 
PSK_D with paddle transmission?  

I have no problem with split in FSK_D and AFSK_A ... just be 
sure that both VFOs are set to the same mode (tap A>B twice 
then tune VFO B off and invoking split).

You can also use XIT or for narrow splits simply disable the 
"net" function in the PSK31 software if you are not using PSK_D.
