While monitor firmware changes are being discussed - - Is it possible to change the firmware so that when MON is pushed the level can be adjusted without blanking out the RX? Yes, that would probably eliminate the constant tone, but in my opinion, that would be fine. The Monitor level numbers would still be displayed that should be sufficient to indicate the amount of up/down adjustment.
