I would expect any mismatch would be easily detected by careful listening or watching the s-meter while tuned to a stable signal while you plugged in one and then the other. I think it would be difficult to find a "Y" TMP, however. Female TMP's are scarce. To make my adapter cable I salvaged a PC mount female from a Motorola UHF exciter board. 73!
